To endow an object with life it is necessary to understand the history of that object. In the case of this building, it is unavoidable to think about what the people who inhabit it were like, what type of customers will buy in that store, or what the neighborhood in which it is located will be like. All these questions are the ones that always help me to decide how I want the scene to be and the elements that can compose it.
In this specific case, a scene by another artist was taken as a reference to transform it in a more personal way, emphasizing the wear of the surfaces and the perspective of the scene, for which it was decided to shorten the depth of field with the aim of achieve a more dramatic effect.
